As a retirement planning firm, Retirement Visions offers a variety of services including, retirement planning, life planning, and 401(k) plans. Founded in 2007, Retirement Visions began with the goal of addressing financial issues related to retirement such as risk management, cash flow, and estate planning. Today, Retirement Visions continues to aid in life planning by offering its expertise and guidance to its customers. Headquartered in West Hartford, Connecticut, Retirement Visions offers its services to over 20 states nationwide.

WHAT HAPPENED?

On August 9, 2022, Retirement Visions discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed. Through its investigation, Retirement Visions determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed this sensitive information on August 9, 2022. On April 4, 2023, Retirement Visions began contacting individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Date of birth
  • Driver’s license number
  • Address
  • Financial account numbers
  • Financial information
