Today, P2 Energy Solutions continues with its original mission statement by implementing management software to simplify workflow of petroleum companies while using data to bring about improvements. P2 Energy Solutions provides many services from land assessment to geospatial data analysis. Notably, P2 Energy Solutions services are used by companies such as Coterra and EnerVest. Headquartered in Denver, Colorado, P2 Energy Solutions employs about 700 individuals and brings in over $200 million in revenue annually.
WHAT HAPPENED?
On November 11, 2021, P2 Energy Solutions discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed. Through its investigation, P2 Energy Solutions determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed this sensitive information between November 8 and November 17, 2021. On December 19, 2022, P2 Energy Solutions began contacting individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information exposed includes:
- Name
- Social Security number
