Order Express Data Breach Investigation

Turke & Strauss LLP, a leading data breach law firm, is investigating Order Express, Inc. regarding its recent data breach. The Order Express data breach involved sensitive personal identifiable information belonging to an undetermined number of individuals.

ABOUT ORDEREXPRESS, INC.:

Order Express is a financial services provider that specializes in money transfers, check cashing, money orders, and more. Founded in 1993, Order Express promotes its Mexican heritage and close connections to the Mexican American community. In addition to money transfers and check cashing, Order Express offers loans, plane ticket reservations, bill payment assistance, and mail and package delivery services. Headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, Order Express operates more than 100 branches across the United States, with many located in the Midwest. Order Express employs more than 200 individuals.

WHAT HAPPENED?

On September 7, 2022, Order Express discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed. Through its investigation, Order Express determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed this sensitive information between July 29 and September 7, 2022. On December 15, 2022, Order Express began contacting individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Driver’s license number
