WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, Community Powered Federal Credit Union discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed. Through its investigation, Community Powered Federal Credit Union determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed this sensitive information through an employee email account between June 23 and July 8, 2022. On October 24, 2022, Community Powered Federal Credit Union began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information exposed includes:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Financial information (e.g., account number, institution name)
