WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, Cardiac Imaging Associates discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health information in its systems may have been accessed. Through its investigation, Cardiac Imaging Associates determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed this sensitive information through an internal email account between March 30 and April 6, 2022. On October 7, 2022, Cardiac Imaging Associates began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information exposed includes:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Driver’s license number
- Date of birth
- Financial information (e.g., account number, credit or debit card number)
- Medical information (e.g., diagnosis or treatment information, laboratory results, medication and prescription information)
