WHAT HAPPENED?
On November 17, 2022, Tangoe discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health information in its systems may have been accessed. Through its investigation, Tangoe determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed this sensitive information between November 15 and November 17, 2022. On November 1, 2023, Tangoe began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted through a post on its website. The type of information exposed includes:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Financial account number
- Health insurance information
- Medical information (e.g., medical record number, hospital account number, admission diagnosis, dates of service, laboratory and diagnostic testing results, medications, treatment facility, and healthcare providers)
