WHAT HAPPENED?
On October 14, 2023, Henry Schein discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive information in its system may have been accessed and acquired. On October 16, 2023, Henry Schein filed a Form 8-K with the Securities and Exchange Commission reporting the cybersecurity incident. Through its investigation, Henry Schein determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed and acquired this sensitive information on October 14, 2023. On November 17, 2023, Henry Schein began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information potentially exposed includes:
- Name
- Address
- Social Security number
- Driver’s license number
- Financial information
- Medical information
- Health insurance information
- Date of birth
- Employment information
