WHAT HAPPENED?
On June 30, 2023, Mutual of Omaha Mortgage discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed. Through its investigation, Mutual of Omaha Mortgage determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed this sensitive information through an employee email account between May 31 and June 3, 2023. On September 22, 2023, Mutual of Omaha Mortgage began contacting individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information exposed includes:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Address
- Loan number
