NOW Health Group Data Breach Investigation

As a producer of health supplements and sports nutrition, NOW Health Group provides vitamins and minerals through its various supplements ranging from amino acids, antioxidants, prebiotics, omega fatty acids, and even bee products. Additionally, NOW Health Group offers various protein powders as well as food powders like matcha and cocoa powder. Founded in 1968, NOW Health Group began as a chain of health food stores called Health House. Today, NOW Health Group has grown into a global health-product manufacturing business. Headquartered in Bloomingdale, Illinois, NOW Health Group employs approximately 1,600 individuals and sells its products in over 60 countries.

WHAT HAPPENED?

On March 17, 2023, NOW Health Group discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed and acquired. Through its investigation, NOW Health Group determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed and acquired this sensitive information between March 17 and March 20, 2023. On September 5, 2023, NOW Health Group began contacting individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
