Founded in 1961 as Stoughton Truck Body, Inc., today, STI Holdings is the parent company of several subsidiaries, including Stoughton Logistics, LLC, Stoughton Rental and Leasing Co., LLC, Stoughton Part Sales, LLC, Stoughton Trailers, LLC, Stoughton Trucking, LLC, and Stoughton Trailers Acceptance Company, LLC. Together, STI Holdings engineers and produces dry vans, trailers, intermodal trailer chassis, and applicable parts. Additionally, STI Holdings facilitates the sale, leasing, and rental of their products. Currently in the process of building a new headquarters in Stoughton, STI Holdings employs more than 1,000 individuals.
WHAT HAPPENED?
On June 9, 2023, STI Holdings discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed and acquired. Through its investigation, STI Holdings determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed and acquired this sensitive information between May 25, 2023, and June 9, 2023. On December 2, 2023, STI Holdings began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted, namely current and former employees. The type of information potentially exposed includes:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Bank account information
