Founded in 1931, Singing River Health System employs more than 3,500 individuals and is headquartered in Ocean Springs, Mississippi.
WHAT HAPPENED?
On August 19, 2023, Singing River Health System discovered that it had experienced a data incident that impacted its systems. Through its investigation, Singing River Health System determined that an unauthorized actor accessed and acquired certain information from the impacted systems. After investigating the incident, Singing River Health System determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed and acquired this sensitive information between August 16 and August 18, 2023. On January 12, 2024, Singing River Health System began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information potentially exposed includes:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Date of birth
- Address
- Medical information
- Health insurance information
