UnitedLex Data Breach Investigation

Turke & Strauss LLP, a leading data breach law firm, is investigating UnitedLex Corporation regarding its recent data breach. The UnitedLex data breach involved sensitive personal identifiable information belonging to over 7,600 individuals.

UnitedLex is a data management company offering services for law firms and legal departments. As a data services company, UnitedLex offers solutions for litigation and investigations, legal operations, intellectual property, and contracts and compliance. Headquartered in New York, New York, UnitedLex has locations in England, Bulgaria, and India. Founded in 2006, UnitedLex has grown into a global company with 17 offices and approximately 3,000 employees. UnitedLex works with over 400 clients and has an annual revenue of over $500 million.

WHAT HAPPENED?

On March 6, 2023, UnitedLex discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed and acquired. Through its investigation, UnitedLex determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed and acquired this sensitive information on March 2, 2023. On July 12, 2023, UnitedLex began contacting individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Financial account number
  • Benefits information
