Today, Newfields has grown and expanded into an art complex with a wide range of exhibits. Located in northern Indianapolis, Newfields serves over 367,000 individuals annually and employs approximately 400 individuals.
WHAT HAPPENED?
On June 3, 2023, Newfields discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health information in its systems may have been accessed. Through its investigation, Newfields determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed this sensitive information between May 12 and June 4, 2023. On July 6, 2023, Newfields began contacting individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information exposed includes:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Date of birth
- Driver’s license number
- Health insurance information
- Medical information
