WHAT HAPPENED?

On April 6, 2023, Enzo Biochem discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health information in its systems may have been accessed and acquired. Through its investigation, Enzo Biochem determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed and obtained this sensitive information through a ransomware attack on April 6, 2023. On May 30, 2023, Enzo Biochem reported the data breach in its Form 8-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. While its investigation is ongoing, Enzo Biochem reported that it intends to provide notice to the individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information exposed may include:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Medical information (e.g., test information)
