Founded in 1981, Central Restaurant Products has expanded by contracting with schools, colleges, correctional facilities, and government operations. Headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana, Central Restaurant Products employs more than 50 individuals.
WHAT HAPPENED?
On April 5, 2022, Central Restaurant Products discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed. Through its investigation, Central Restaurant Products determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed this sensitive information on or around April 4, 2022. On December 9, 2022, Central Restaurant Products began contacting individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information exposed includes:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Driver’s license number
- Date of birth
- Passport number
- Financial information (e.g., account number)
- Health insurance information
