Ferran Services Data Breach Investigation

Turke & Strauss LLP, a leading data breach law firm, is investigating Ferran Services & Contracting, Inc., which does business as Ferran Services regarding its recent data breach. The Ferran Services data breach involved sensitive personal identifiable information belonging to over 2,200 individuals.

Ferran Services is a construction and maintenance company that specializes in HVAC, electrical, and plumbing services. Founded in 1910, Ferran Services began as an electrical service provider before merging with a plumbing company and rebranding to its current company name. Over time, Ferran Services has expanded out of its three specialty areas into attic insulation, duct testing and repair, and window film application. Today, Ferran Services’ reputation has defined them as one of the best facilities service providers in Florida. Headquartered in Orlando, Florida, Ferran Services conducts business throughout Central Florida and the surrounding areas.

WHAT HAPPENED?

On March 29, 2022, Ferran Services discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed. Through its investigation, Ferran Services determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed this sensitive information between December 25, 2021, and March 29, 2022. On October 3, 2022, Ferran Services began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
