Founded in 1979, WELBRO has a significant market presence in the hotel/hospitality and education markets, as well as other major project types including office buildings, retail/commercial and special use facilities.2 To date, WELBRO has constructed tens of thousands of hospitality rooms across Florida and the Southeast, and WELBRO’s Educational Focus Group constructs K-12 and higher educational facilities and residence halls.3 Headquartered in Maitland, Florida, WELBRO employs over 100 individuals.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Recently, WELBRO discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed. On December 14, 2023, WELBRO began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The exact type of personal information potentially exposed has not been made publicly available by WELBRO. However, according to state reporting guidelines, “personal information” can include the following types of information:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Driver’s license or state-issued ID number
  • Financial account number, or credit or debit card number, with or without any required security code
