SRBHH is a comprehensive mental health hospital based in California. Opened in 2013, SRBHH offers a full range of individualized treatment services for youth, teens, adults, and senior adults, including treatment for mental health and co-occurring (mental health and substance abuse) disorders.2 Additionally, SRBHH provides mental health and substance abuse screening, assessment, crisis intervention, consultation, education, and individual and group counseling.2 A part of the Northern California Behavioral Health System, SRBHH is located in Santa Rosa, California and has an additional hospital campus located in Sacramento, California.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Recently, SRBHH discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health information in its systems may have been accessed and acquired. Through its investigation, SRBHH determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed this information between January 27 and January 28, 2024. On April 26, 2024, SRBHH began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information potentially exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Driver’s license number
  • Date of birth
  • Medical information (e.g., medical record number, services received, dates of service, treating physician)
