Harlowe Health Data Breach Investigation

The Harlowe data breach may have involved sensitive personal identifiable information belonging to an undetermined number of individuals.

ABOUT HARLOWE HEALTH LLC:

Harlowe is a healthcare cost solution provider based in New Hampshire. Today, Harlowe helps to reduce healthcare costs for employers, brokers, health plans, and TPAs, and support their mission to serve clients and members with quality, lower cost care options.2 To achieve this, Harlowe developed a smartphone app with easy access to nurse navigators, scheduling resources, rewards tracker, and more.2 Headquartered in Manchester, New Hampshire, Harlowe employs over 10 individuals.

WHAT HAPPENED?

On December 18, 2023, Harlowe discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed. Through its investigation, Harlowe determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed this information between December 16 and December 18, 2023. On April 23, 2024, Harlowe began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The exact type of personal information potentially exposed has not been made publicly available by Harlowe. However, according to state reporting guidelines, “personal information” can include the following types of information:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Driver’s license or state ID number
  • Taxpayer ID number
  • Passport number
  • Financial account or credit or debit card number
  • Password or access code for a financial account
  • Unique biometric data
  • Genetic information
  • Medical information (e.g., health records, medical diagnosis or treatment information)
  • Health insurance policy number
