The services provided by GDI including disinfection, indoor and outdoor cleaning, specialty services, port-construction cleanup, disaster restoration, food plant sanitation, event support, energy management and water conservation, waste programs, and integrated facility services. Headquartered in LaSalle, Quebec, GDI has over 40 locations across the United States and Canada and employs approximately 30,000 individuals.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Recently, GDI discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed and acquired. Through its investigation, GDI determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed this information between November 13 and November 30, 2023. On April 29, 2024, GDI began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information potentially exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Date of birth
  • Passport number
  • Financial account number
