WHAT HAPPENED?

On November 19, 2023, LivaNova discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health information in its systems may have been accessed and acquired. Through its investigation, LivaNova determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed information around October 26, 2023. On April 25, 2024, LivaNova began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information potentially exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Address
  • Date of birth
  • Contact information
  • Medical information (e.g., treatment, condition, diagnosis, prescription, physician, medical record number, device serial number) 
  • Health insurance information
